TAIPEI AMPA 2024 Successfully Attracted More than 4,000 Foreign Buyers from 120 Countries, Creating a Cross-industry "360° Mobility" Ecosystem for Future Mobile Industry

The 3-in-1 Mega Show:TAIPEI AMPA 2024、AUTOTRONICS TAIPEI 2024 and 2035 E-Mobility Taiwan has been held from April 17th to 20th at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1, and successfully attracted more than 4,000 foreign visitors from 120 countries.

This annual automotive and vehicle industry Mega Show that hosted by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) has become one of the most influential landmark exhibitions in Asia. In 2024, it gathered 1,000 domestic and overseas companies to exhibit at a grand scale of 2,700 booths, successfully established the comprehensive future mobility ecosystem that transited from traditional fuel automotive to smart mobility, coving a wide range of industries including auto parts, automotive electronics, three power systems (motor, batteries, and electronics), semiconductors, ICT, panels, etc.

According to TAITRA, the top five buyer countries at the exhibition are Japan, the United States, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand in order. There are also delegations of government units and industry associations from Germany, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Japan, Australia, Malaysia, Vietnam, India and other countries visited the show, indicating the 3-in-1 360° mobility series Mega Show has become an important communication platform for both the automobile and motorcycle industries.

In order to promote the software and hardware capabilities of Taiwan and generate more business opportunities, one-on-one procurement matchmaking events were held during the exhibition, which facilitated more than 500 procurement matchmaking events between 100+ Taiwanese exhibitors and buyers from 28 countries. At the same time, there are also seminars, forums, briefing sessions, and workshops, such as the Taiwan-India Smart Vehicle Electronic Components Manufacturers' Matchmaking, Czech Republic –Taiwan Automotive Opportunities Seminar, and the U.S. Business Opportunities Briefing. The enriched events assisted the Taiwanese vendors to stay up with international trends, demonstrated the competitive edges of Taiwan's vehicle and smart mobility industries in international market, and stabilized its key position in global supply chain.

This year's Mega Show received positive responses from numerous domestic and foreign index companies. The number of international visitors during the four-day show was obviously higher than the previous year, while buyers from all over the world could be seen at the venue engaging in enthusiastic procurement activities. The automobile mold industry vendors indicated that there were many Japanese buyers this year, and they also successfully matchmaking with several European start-up car manufacturers on site. There are also electric vehicle power system manufacturers attracted the attentions of Indian car factory supply chain players, and are expected to lead to follow-up cooperation opportunities.
In addition, vehicle maintenance tool and equipment manufacturers also have buyers from the Middle East, Africa and other countries visiting their booths, showing strong purchasing willingness and they affirmed the efforts of the organizer. Industry leaders in charging solutions and smart cockpit systems indicated, while comparing with the previous years, there are more buyers from the United States, Japan and ASEAN, it shows that the Show is successful and they will expand the scale of the participation next year.

Innovation and creation, sustainability and safety are the main themes of this year’s Show. By organizing the XMobility PowerUp & MeetUp event, the organizer has successfully connected domestic and foreign start-ups, enterprises and venture capital companies, bringing development opportunities to the industry. The " Taiwan Patent GO " special pavilion that hosted by the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office, Ministry of Economic Affairs, showcased the ITRI’s low-diffraction transparent AM Micro LED display technology, which successfully attracted international buyers from India for cooperation.

TAITRA continues to promote sustainability, hosting the "2024 ESG Achievement" event in collaboration with SGS Taiwan, awarding Golden ESG Achievement and Green ESG Achievement logos based on implementation levels, encouraging companies to actively invest in ESG. During the Show, there was ESG Pavilion and a series of activities, including ESG Sharing and ESG Talk. TAITRA cooperated with international professional partners including SGS Taiwan and UL Solutions Cooperate to organize seminars, health inspection consultation activities to enhance the key competitiveness of Taiwanese vendors while engaging in the international vehicle industry supply chain.

Another important highlight of the Show is the International Trend Forum. The Forum invited domestic and foreign enterprises and associations including the Italian electric supercar Automobili Estrema, the Czech Battery Association, the European Business Association in Taiwan, Delta, NXP, Texas Instruments, and Sime Darby Kia of Taiwan. (KIA), Fuzhijie, Tiefeng Hydrogen Technology, Hydrogen Green Energy Technology, UL Solutions, VicOne, and Infineon Technologies, to share the forward-looking trends of the global vehicle industry and strategic thinking on cross-domain cooperation, attracting a total of nearly 600 people participated.
TAITRA targets at the infinite possibilities and development potential of the mobile industry. In order to make Taiwanese vendors to play a key role in the international mobile industry supply chain, TAITRI has devoted to create a "360˚ Mobility" all-round ecosystem for future mobile industry, fully presenting the results of cross-industry integration of traditional vehicle parts and components, ICT and semiconductors. The 3-in-1 Mega Show - TAIPEI AMPA, AUTOTRONICS TAIPEI, and 2035 E-Mobility Taiwan – are the best display platforms to specifically present 360° Mobility, and they are also the industry's trend indicators.
